The quiet wardrobe: dressing without noise
On clothes that survive the decade

There is a particular kind of garment that disappears into a life — worn so often it stops registering as clothing at all. This is the wardrobe the studio builds towards: quiet, hard-wearing, and designed to be re-worn rather than replaced.
Inside the workshop, tables are laid out by yarn lot rather than by season. Pieces are knitted in runs of a few dozen, checked by hand and mended before they are ever posted.
The result is a wardrobe that resists the calendar. Nothing announces its year, which is precisely the point.
